Two individuals, Rajiv Kumar and Amandeep Singh, have been apprehended in connection with the ongoing case. This development follows a complaint filed by former MLA Sarup Chand Singla in 2021, prompting the Punjab Vigilance Bureau to initiate an investigation and subsequently book the accused.

Meanwhile, Manpreet Badal, one of the key figures in the case, has withdrawn his pre-arrest bail application. This application was initially submitted to the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Ram Kumar Singla in Bathinda. Manpreet’s attorney, Sukhdeep Singh Bhinder, explained, “We have withdrawn the application because it was initially filed while a probe was underway. However, given the recent registration of an FIR, we intend to file a new application with updated facts.”
