Tokyo Olympics: Ravi Dahiya loses to Zaur Uguev, brings silver medal to India

But only when less than 60 seconds were left, Ravi did his stunt move.

The wrestler, Ravi Dahiya has assured silver medal to India and it will be the fifth medal for India. The final match was against ROC’s Zaur Uguev at 4.20 PM in the freestyle 57 kg.

The match began with a 0-2 and which was equalized by Ravi with a takedown, the 1st trial was over with a score of 2-4.

In the second period, the score became 4-7 with a defeat against Russia’s Zaur Uguev.

The win of semi-finals match against Kazakhstan’s Nurislam Sanayev under the category of 57 kg was unexpected and in the beginning, the score was 8-1. But only when less than 60 seconds were left, Ravi did his stunt move and won by the ‘Victory by Fall Rule’. Making the score reached 7-9 and calling for an immediate win. He is the second Indian wrestler to reach the final, after double medallist Sushil Kumar.
