The controversy between Anushka Sharma and Sunil Gavaskar seemed to be over however, Team India head coach Ravi Shastri has finally broken his silence. Ravi broke his silence on the sexist remark done by veteran cricketer Sunil Gavaskar on Anushka Sharma.

During the match between Punjab and Bengaluru, Gavaskar criticized the batting form of Virat Kohli and said, "Inhone lockdown me to bas Anushka ki bowling ki practice ki hain". (Virat Kohli has only trained against Anushka’s bowling during the lockdown)."

This angered Anushka and therefore she slammed the veteran cricketer. The actress wrote, " That, Mr. Gavaskar your message is distasteful is a fact but I would love for you to explain why you thought of making such a sweeping statement on a wife accusing her for her husband's game? I am sure over the years you have respected the private lives of every cricketer while commenting on the game. Don't you think you should have equal amount of respect for me and us?"

I will speak for myself and I wouldn't have gone down that route what Sunny went."
