As per the weather report, Mohali, Punjab, experienced lightning and rainfall yesterday.
The weather in Punjab has now changed, followed by rain and wind in the adjoining Himachal Pradesh districts. Strong winds as well as thunderstorm warnings have been issued for several districts in Punjab in the next five days, as per the forecast released by the IMD Chandigarh Centre. A couple of districts also received overnight rainfall, helping to provide some respite to the residents.
There has been a slight dip of 0.6°C from yesterday, but the state’s mean maximum temperature was recorded as ‘normal’ by the Meteorological Centre. Bathinda’s top temperature of 45.5°C distinguished it from the rest of the states, making it the highest elevation record.
The city of Chandigarh reported a temperature of 39.0°C, while other cities added to the rising temperatures too, such as Amritsar at 41.3°C and Ludhiana at 41.0°C, along with Faridkot, Ropa, and Patiala, crossing the 40°C mark.

Few clouds are predicted to appear in Amritsar today along with light winds. Temperature will increase slightly, surpassing the 25-degree mark. The range is expected to be between 25 and 43 degrees.
Jalandhar
Jalandhar will see light clouds today. There will be a moderate rise in temperatures, which are expected to be between 23 and 42 degrees.
Ludhiana
Light clouding is expected today in Ludhiana. Also, a slight increase in temperature will be noted. Temperature can be noted between 25 and 44 degrees.
Patiala
There will be light clouding in Patiala today. A slight increase in temperature will also be witnessed. The temperature can be observed between 27 and 43 degrees.
Mohali
Light clouds will be seen today in Mohali. There will be a slight increase in the temperature. Marked temperatures are expected to be in the range of 28 to 42 degrees.
