Reuters publishes images of COVID Dead Bodies; Enraged Social Media Users Blame Modi-Yogi

During this raging pandemic in India, British news agency Reuters has published images related to covid dead bodies.

The British news agency, The Reuters has recently published images related to the condition of covid dead bodies of the Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh and nearby areas. The images are of the banks of river Ganga where hoards of dead bodies are seen buried in the sand. As soon as these images came to light, users on social media started sharing them and blamed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Journalist and Filmmaker, Vinod Kapdi shared these images and wrote “Proud Hindu, Hindu identity, proudly call yourself Hindu, national interest above all else, named Twitter handles and Facebook pages, see for yourself how the heart of Hindu land is dealing with Hindus. We should be ashamed of ourselves.”

Neelkamal wrote in his Facebook post, “Where are the guardians of Hinduism hiding? Is sensitivity to the situation dead? I can understand the reason for your silence.”

Digital reporter Sunita Singh Rathore said, “Dead bodies were used to be burnt on the banks of river Ganga in Allahabad. In Prayagraj, dead bodies of Hindus are being buried.

For Reuters, these images were captured by a photographer named Ritesh Shukla.

Modi government has come under sharp criticism for mishandling the pandemic. Several states had shown a steep rise in cases in mid-April with, people queuing outside hospitals. Hospitals reported a shortage of oxygen, beds and medicines.
