Amid the ongoing backlash against upcoming Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3, the White Hill Studios, the production house of the film, has shared a public statement to clarify their stance. While responding to the heightened controversies and backlash, the production house has outlined that the movie was wrapped up production long before the incident and no Pakistani actor was contacted after the attack.
The official statement by White Hill Studio read, “This is to bring to everyone’s kind notice that the film named, Sardaarji 3, was shot well before the prevailing situation that our country is facing now and it was never ever the case that any Pakistani artist was signed or was engaged after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.”
It further outlined that the production house respects the national sentiments and stand firm with the nation during this sensitive time. The studio mentioned, “We stand united with our country and our fellow countrymen during this sensitive time. Considering the same, we had decided not to release the film or any of its promotional content in India until the situation becomes opportune.”
