Shershaah trailer: Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani film on Kargil hero Capt Vikram's life amazes B’town celebs

The film is based on the life of Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Vikram Batra who famously stated, “I'll either come back after raising the Indian flag in victory or return wrapped in it, but I will come for sure.”

The trailer for the film 'Shershaah,' starring Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, was unveiled on July 25 and has received widespread praise. 

The film is based on the life of Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Vikram Batra. Before departing for Kargil, the soldier famously stated, “I'll either come back after raising the Indian flag in victory or return wrapped in it, but I will come for sure.” He was killed while fighting courageously.

The trailer for Shershaah starts with a voiceover by Sidharth Malhotra, who plays Vikram Batra, a man who is willing to live and die for India. He presents how an armyman's life is the most honourable, and there is no religion for them other than their devotion to the nation.

The focus of the Shershaah trailer is on young men like Vikram Batra who rose to the occasion and fought for their country in its hour of need. 

We also get a glimpse of Vikram's love story in the Shershaah teaser. Kiara Advani plays Dimple Cheema who was Vikram's fiancee and his greatest strength. She did not marry after his death and continues to live as his widow.

The movie teaser has made a lasting impression on people's hearts. Not only fans, but many Bollywood celebrities have appreciated the movie by sharing the trailer on social media.

From Akshay Kumar to Varun Dhawan, B'town celebs have described the trailer as brilliant.

On Twitter, Akshay Kumar praised the film's teaser, saying, “What tribute can a reel hero pay to a real hero. Except that your sacrifice inspired us to life, Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Vikram Batra! I consider myself lucky to share my birthday with you."

Varun Dhawan also praised the teaser and wrote on Instagram, “Such an impressive trailer on such a special day. Let's go, team, Sher Shah."
