The young opener of the Indian cricket team, Shubman Gill, impressed everyone with his excellent batting on the tour of Australia. Gill, 21, made his Test debut in Melbourne. After this, he did not look back. The way this Punjab player has batted fearlessly in front of world-class bowling, he is worthy of praise.

Recently, Gill in an interview with Times of India revealed how Yuvraj's Singh's coaching helped him in Australia and how he is preparing for the upcoming England test. On coming back home after a long tour of Australia, Gill said, "I am relaxed now. Making my debut for India is a big relief. I was a bit nervous, but with every innings, I grew in confidence."

On missing the opportunity of scoring a century, Gill said, "A century could have been the cherry on the cake. I was well set and I should have scored the century, but at the same time, I am happy that I have contributed to the team’s victory. This series was a big learning curve for me and I have become a better cricketer."

"The next goal is to score consistently at this level. England series will be crucial for me because now I will not be an unknown entity. Facing the likes of James Anderson, Stuart Broad, and Jofra Archer will be challenging, but I am up for it," added Gill.

However, Gill's revelation about India's former all-rounder Yuvraj attracted everyone. Gill revealed that during a camp it was Yuvraj Singh who helped him out to overcome the fear of playing short-pitch balls. He said, "The camp with Yuvi paaji before the IPL was very useful. During that camp, he prepared me to face chin music (bouncers). He used to throw hundreds of short-pitch balls to me from different angles, and I think it helped me a lot."
