A shocking video has been making rounds on social media from a government-run Sitapur District Hospital in Uttar Pradesh where a women patient was brutally abused physically by a nurse in the general ward.

In the video, a nurse can be seen grabbing a female patient by the hair, forcing her way through the narrow passage, and pinning her down on the bed. Soon after the video went viral the hospital authorities jumped on the damage control claiming that the patient was not subjected to any form of ill-treatment.

The video also shows a man on either side of the bed helping the nurse after pushing the woman’s patient down. Reacting to the video Dr. RK Singh Sitapur’s CMO informed the press that the woman patient was admitted on October 18th.

Dr. Singh claimed that after she was left by her family members, the woman the same night at around 12-1 AM started behaving violently near the washroom causing inconvenience to other patients.

He went on to say, "She started breaking her bangles and tearing off her clothes. This triggered panic among the other female patients at the ward and the hospital staff had to intervene to restrain her."

The management also refuted all forms of claims about the unfriendly and violent behavior towards the woman patient saying that she was pinned on the bed so that an injection could be administered an injection.

Dr. Singh said that it was only after the injection she was brought under control and was later discharged after her family members came to receive her.
