Days after taking a dig at Channi for accepting Sidhu's demand and removing APS Deol from Advocate General’s post, Congress member Sunil Jhakar has once again poked the Punjab Chief Minister. This minister has cornered Channi for meeting Red Fort accused and gangster-turned-activist Lakha Sidhana.

Jhakar’s tweet read, “Gangsters mutate into activists, then politician-are openly courted by pol parties. But Punjab doesn’t condone such sinister attempts to barter its hard earned peace for votes. AAP learnt it the hard way in 2017.”

“Yesterday’s utterance show that some haven’t learnt the lesson yet,” the tweet further read.

During the press conference held in Chandigarh on Thursday, CM Charanjit Singh Channi regarded gangster-turned-activist as “Lakkha Sidhana Ji” and said that he has met Lakha Sidhan a few days ago, had a conversation on the issue of not recruiting Punjabi youth in the state government jobs.

In fact, Lakha Sidhana had said in a meeting with Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi that about 300 people were brought from other states and recruited in different ranks of Punjab Police, rather than the youth from the state.
