Sourav Ganguly biopic confirmed, Ranbir Kapoor to play Dada

Cricket and Bollywood are one of India's best combinations, and it's paid off big time at the box office. MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, a biopic on the life of ex-Indian captain and current BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, has been greenlit. Dada himself is the one who has confirmed the news. According to sources, Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor is the frontrunner for the role.

Sourav Ganguly confirmed the greenlighting of his biopic while conversing with local news channel. “Yes, I have agreed to the biopic,” the ex-skipper remarked. It will be in Hindi, but the director's name cannot be revealed at this time. Everything will take a few more days to arrange.”

According to the same publication, DADA's biopic is being produced by a major studio, with a budget of roughly Rs 200 to Rs 250 crore set aside for the project. The film's script is presently being developed, according to sources, and the production house has met with the current president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) multiple times.

The movie will depict Dada's complete journey to becoming the president of the BCCI. The release date for the film has yet to be determined.

According to the local news channel, Ranbir Kapoor is the "hot choice" for the role of Sourav Ganguly on the silver screen. There are two more actors Also in the running.

The biopic will follow Sourav Ganguly from his childhood till his election as president of the BCCI. The release date for the film has yet to be determined.

(Sachin Tendulkar) are three biopics based on the lives of Indian cricketers. Ranveer Singh will play Kapil Dev, the captain of the tram, in a biopic about India's World Cup victory in 1983. Biopics of Indian cricketers Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami are also in the works.
