SRK’s son Aryan being targeted just for his surname ‘Khan’: Mehbooba Mufti

On Monday, PDP president and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti slammed the central government over the arrest of Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan. She said that the arrest is a ‘Travesty of justice’ adding that Muslims are targeted to please the core vote bank of BJP. 


Mehbooba Mufti tweeted and wrote, “Instead of making an example out of a Union Minister’s son accused of killing four farmers, central agencies are after a 23-year-old simply because his surname happens to be Khan. Travesty of justice that Muslims are targeted to satiate the sadistic wishes of BJPs core vote bank.”

Aryan Khan is in NCB custody for more than a week, today the court denied his bail for the third time. In court, he has argued that he was not in possession of any drugs. Along with SRK’s son Aryan Khan, Munmun Dhamecha, Arbaaz Merchant, Nupur Satija, Ishmeet Chadha, Mohak Jaiswal, Gomit Chopra, Vikrant Chhokar and a drug supplier from suburban Juhu, has been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau.

Mehbooba has also said the killing of four farmers in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur-Kheri. In Uttar Pradesh, Ashish Mishra, the son of junior home minister Ajay Mishra, was arrested on Saturday – five days after he was accused of the murder of protesting farmers and named in an FIR.
