Recently the Facebook account of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput saw some activity that has left his fans in a state of shock and dismay. His profile's display picture was updated that caught the eye of most of his fans.
The actor was found dead in his apartment on 14 June 2020 and since then there was no activity in his account. This mysterious update of his display picture came in on 18 August at 6:30 a.m.

REACTIONS POUR IN
While many fans stated the incident as bizarre and shocking, one asked about the ownership of his account after his death. A fan also said that their emotions must be respected by not updating the account.
A fan wrote, "Who the hell is doing this with his account! He is no more and you should respect the emotions of his fans. Don't do such things dude it hurts (sic)."
Another fan wrote, "Oh my God I'm shocked!!!!! Who controls the Sushant account?! How did he update his profile picture knowing that the page was only managed by Sushant?! What is happening? (sic)"
Two days after his death, Sushant's team shared a post on his Facebook account which read, "Fans like you were the real 'godfather' for Sushant. As promised to him, converting this space into a collection of all his thoughts, learnings, dreams, and wishes, he always wanted people to know. Yes, we are documenting all the positive energies he has left behind in this world."

Although Facebook has clear policies and use-cases as to what happens to an account after an individual is deceased, in Sushant's case, it is yet to be known who was behind the update.
