TheJalandhar district on Sunday recorded 120 new cases of covid-19 with which thetally reached 21,709 today. Two new covid deaths were reported today,therefore, the toll rose to 705.
Asper reports, the cases recorded today include some students and teachers fromMeritorious School Jalandhar and a faculty member of St Joseph Convent Schooland among other residents of Jalandhar from various localities.
Thenumber of active covid19 cases in the district has now risen to 598. The Jalandhardistrict has today reported the highest number of cases in the state. Withcases going up each day now, there is also speculation amongst the residentsabout the new guidelines to come up.
Parentsare especially concerned about the safety of their wards as students andteachers are testing positive on regular basis.
