The Jalandhar district on Sunday recorded 120 new cases of covid-19 with which the tally reached 21,709 today. Two new covid deaths were reported today, therefore, the toll rose to 705.
As per reports, the cases recorded today include some students and teachers from Meritorious School Jalandhar and a faculty member of St Joseph Convent School and among other residents of Jalandhar from various localities.
The number of active covid19 cases in the district has now risen to 598. The Jalandhar district has today reported the highest number of cases in the state. With cases going up each day now, there is also speculation amongst the residents about the new guidelines to come up.
Parents are especially concerned about the safety of their wards as students and teachers are testing positive on regular basis.
