India were defeated by Pakistan by 10 wickets in their first T20 World Cup match. Pakistan had defeated them for the first time in the tournament's history. Pakistan has never won a T20 World Cup by more than 10 wickets, and this is the first time they have done so. It's also the first time Pakistan has beaten India in a World Cup match.

Without a question, Virat Kohli's men would welcome another chance to take them on.

The only way for it to happen in this tournament is for them to meet in the final. After that, it will be a rematch of the 2007 T20 World Cup.

The two fierce rivals met for the sixth time in the premier T20 tournament 2021.

Remember 2007 T20 World Cup, when two teams met in the first round of the match which India won in a bowl-out.

The match took place in South Africa in September 2007, and there were reports that India was hesitant to send a squad since T20 cricket was not yet famous.

The Indian cricket board put together a youthful team and picked Mahendra Singh Dhoni to head the charge.

Nobody could have predicted that the inaugural tournament would forever alter cricket.

Any match between India and Pakistan is sure to pique curiosity and give fans across the world goosebumps. India's earlier match against Scotland was rained out after the toss, hence this match on September 14 was essentially their first in the tournament and India won.

But on finals, India clash with Pakistan. As India applied the squeeze, RP Singh struck early with the wickets of Mohammad Hafeez and Kamran Akmal, while Irfan Pathan was superb with figures of 3/16 in his quota.

After considerable thought, MS Dhoni decided to trust Joginder Sharma with the final six deliveries, from which Pakistan needed 13 runs.

The first ball was a wide, while the second was a full toss that Misbah snatched for a six. The Pakistani fans were ecstatic, while the Indian fans were disappointed. That's when Misbah tried to scoop Joginder to fine leg across his stumps, only to miss the hit and find Sreesanth waiting at short fine leg. The Wanderers burst the second Sreesanth made the catch.

Irfan was named Man of the Match after taking three wickets. Joginder was never called upon to play another match for India.

In the 2012, 2014, and 2016 tournaments, India and Pakistan met again, with the Indian side winning each time.

However, talking about T20 World Cup 2021, both India and Pakistan must first progress to the semi-finals. Then they must win their respective semi-finals.

Only then will there be a hardcore title match.

Let’s see whom are we going to see in finals and if India-Pakistan clashes, hopes to see India clinches T20 World Cup title.
