Bakers and influencers on social media not only invented several new recipes but spiced up the old recipes. During the lockdown, we have seen a number of weird food combinations going around on social media like Butter Chai, Dahi Maggie, Pasta Dosa and chocolate samosa pav.
Now, as the lockdown continues, the trend of weird but impressive food is surfacing on the internet. This time video of ‘Butter Chicken Cake’ has gone viral. This creation by Natalie Sideserf of Sideserf Cake Studio has impressed netizens on another level.
But there is a twist in the story. Remember a cake trend from 2020, where people were making realistic cakes shaped like household objects. The butter chicken cake is not cake made of butter chicken but is an actual cake that looks like a serving of butter chicken.

The video was posted on youtube by Sideserf Cake Studio about a month ago on April 19 which now has collected over two million views and many comments. The butter-chicken look-alike cake was made from scratch in the video. Brushstrokes, edible copper paint, and other designs were used to give ‘Handi’ an authentic feel. Also, a mixture of red and white food colors with strawberry sauce was used for the gravy.
Indian food lovers all over the world, especially Indians are amazed by this Butter chicken cake. Social media users are appreciating the hard work. One of the users commented, “This girl can change the whole universe into a cake.” Whereas another user recommended the creator to make a biryani look-alike cake.
