Former South African cricketer AB de Villiers on Friday made a u-turn after he apologized for sharing false information on Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma. AB de Villiers on his YouTube channel had revealed that Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are expecting their second child and therefore the cricketer has been spending time with his family and has not been a part of India vs England Test Series. However, it seems like what is Virat Kohli's personal reason for taking a break from cricket remains a mystery. Below is what AB de Villiers said on Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma's second child-

AB de Villiers was quoted saying, "Family comes first it’s the priority as I said on my YouTube channel..I made a terrible mistake at the same time, sharing false information, which was not true at all...I think whatever’s best for Virat’s family comes first. No one knows what’s happening there, all I can do is wish him well. Whatever the reason for his break, I hope he can comeback stronger, better and fresh from this."

What did AB de Villiers say earlier?

AB de Villiers who is a close friend of Virat Kohli had earlier said, "So I wrote to him ‘Been wanting to check in with you (sic) for a while now biscuits. How are you?’.  He said ‘Just need to be with my family right now. I am doing well.’Yes, his second child is on the way. Yes, it’s family time and things are important to him. If you are not true and genuine to yourself, you lose track of what you are here for. I think most people’s priority is family. You can’t judge Virat for that. Yes, we miss him. But he has made absolutely the right decision."

It is pertinent to mention here that reports suggest that Virat Kohli will continue to remain away from cricket. Espncricinfo reports suggest that Virat Kohli's absence has been extended and the cricketer will not be a part of the next two Test matches of the India vs England Test series. Notably, India and England have won 1 match each and the five-match series are at a level by 1-1.
