Virat Kohli: Is This The Beginning of The End Of His Era?

Virat kohli slipped in all the International Rankings-ODI, T20 and Test Rankings.

After being dismissed by SRH all-rounder Jason Holder, Kohli was reprimanded for hitting the boundary cushion and an empty chair near the RCB dugout with his bat while heading back to the dressing room. Kohli was dismissed by Jason Holder in the 13th over.


Kohli kicked the boundary cushion and struck the chair as he walked back to the pavilion after being dismissed for 33 off 29 balls.


"Mr. Kohli admitted to the Level 1 offense 2.2 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding," IPL gave a statement.




Is this the result of his rankings constantly going down in International Cricket?

After a double ton in Chennai, Joe Root overtakes Virat Kohli in the ICC Test rankings for batsmen. Root was instrumental in England's 227-run victory in Chennai, which held them in contention for the ICC World Test Championship final.


England captain Joe Root's match-winning 218 against India in the first Test has helped him climb two places to third place, passing India's Virat Kohli in the process. Virat is currently ranked fifth.

Virat Kohli slipped to the 5th rank in T20 rankings as well.


He got a start and threw his wicket away in both the games of IPL that RCB has played. In the post-match presentation after the game against Mumbai, he told that he should have batted longer but he couldn’t.

Again in yesterday’s match, he threw his wicket away and was seen frustrated after his dismissal. He couldn’t even score 50 in any of the IPL matches of this season.


Could this be the beginning of the end of this supremacy?
