
The Jammu and Kashmir administration on July 10 hasterminated the services of eleven employees, including two sons of most wanted terrorist Syed Salahuddin, for alleged militant links.
According to the officials, these employees were passingon information to militants and even provided them the logistics support.
Sons of militant, Syed Ahmal Shakeel and Shahid Yousuf,were sacked from their services for their alleged involvement in "anti-nationalactivities.”
Two teachers from the Anantnag district and two policeconstables have also been found involved in terror-funding activities. One ofthe constables, Abdul Rashid Shigan, allegedly executed attacks on securityforces.
Of the 11 government employees sacked on Saturday, fourare from Anantnag district, three from Budgam, and one each from Baramulla,Srinagar, Pulwama and Kupwara districts.
Of these, four are working in the education department,two in J&K Police and one each in agriculture, skill development, power, Sher-e-KashmirInstitute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) and health departments.
"NIA has tracked terror funding trails of both thepersons who have been found involved in raising, receiving, collecting, andtransferring funds through hawala transactions for terror activities of HizbulMujahideen," the official said.
J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha had last yearamended the J&K Service Regulation rules and assumed power to sack anygovernment servant without prior notice if there is evidence of such anan employee having indulged in anti-national or pro-militant activities.
Furthermore, CID verification of the antecedents of anyperson employed with the government has been made a compulsory pre-conditionbefore such an employee can join government service.
