Most of the time, in-flight announcements are ignored by the passengers but something unusual happened in the IndiGo flight from Patna. Passenger’s attention was caught as the flight’s captain made the announcement in Bhojpuri. The video of the same was captured by a passenger and now the video has gone viral on the internet.

As Bhojpuri is only spoken in Bihar and other states including Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh, announcements in flights are usually done in Hindi along with English.

In the viral video, an IndiGo crew member can be heard saying, “We, the Indigo family welcome you all… captain Prateek is in the cockpit… Marsi... Sonika, Yashee and Komal are in-charge of the crew. The flight is not fully loaded. There are fewer passengers on this route due to Diwali and Chatth puja. Passengers are more on the returning route”.

“Are you people understanding the Bhojpuri language or should I translate it in Hindi….Is my Bhojpuri okay?” he further asked. After receiving thumbs-up he continued explaining.

The video was shared by a Twitter user – Devendra N. Tiwari, while sharing the video he wrote, “IndiGo's Patna flight crew briefed in Bhojpuri @IndiGo6E I appreciate the initiative. For the sake of the travelers of Gorakhpur, Patna, Banaras, Kushinagar, there was a lot of respect if briefing was done in Bhojpuri. So that he should take concrete initiative for the sake of akra. @aakharbhojpuri”.
