WhatsApp users can join ongoing video call, know how!

The chatting platform, WhatsApp, has added a new feature, which allows users to join an ongoing video call.

A few days back, WhatsApp has launched a new feature, through which the interaction experience of the users would definitely enhance. After this newly introduced feature users can join the ongoing video call in group chat. 


As per the platform, now if any group member misses the video call while the phone rings he/ she can join the call whenever they like and can cut and re-join the call if it is ongoing. “So, now group calls are contextual to your group chats and you can effortlessly join them right from the chat tab. With group calling growing in popularity, integrating joinable calls gives WhatsApp users a new spontaneous way to connect with their family and friends groups,” the official statement said.

Users would now see the “Join” button in place of the video or audio call button. The call will show in the chat list, so users can see which groups have ongoing calls immediately after opening the app.

WhatsApp has assigned a lighter distinct ringtone, making it feel as light as sending and receiving a message. Along with this, WhatsApp has introduced a call info screen feature, which would inform you who has joined the call and who is left. 


WhatsApp has reported updating its “Disappearing Messages” feature that will give users the option to choose between 24 hours, seven days, and 90 days after which the messages will disappear.
