Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar has been transferred from Mandoli to Tihar jail in connection with the death of wrestler Sagar Dhankar at Chhatrasal Stadium. On May 23, a team of Special Cell officers from the Delhi Police detained Sushil and his associate Ajay in the Mundka region of the national capital.

Sushil Kumar has been transferred to Tihar Jail No. 2 by Delhi Police. This is a standard procedure, according to the jail administration, but if sources are to be believed, it was done for security reasons.

Kumar was the "primary culprit and mastermind" behind the alleged murder, according to police, who claim there is electronic proof of him and his friends assaulting Dhankar with sticks. Kumar's arms licence was suspended by the police on May 31.

Meanwhile, while being transferred from Delhi's Mandoli jail to Tihar jail, he was photographed with Delhi Police officers.

On Friday, Delhi police officers and murder suspect Sushil Kumar were seen taking snaps and selfies outside Tihar jail, according to a video that has leaked.

Senior Delhi police authorities condemned the cops' irresponsible behaviour and announced that an investigation would be conducted into the situation.

According to authorities, Sushil and his colleagues kidnapped Sagar from his Model Town home to teach him a lesson for badmouthing him in front of other wrestlers. According to the authorities, Sushil even instructed a man named Prince to film the incident and distribute it to his community so that no one else would dare to insult the veteran wrestler.

In connection with the case, a Delhi court increased Kumar's judicial remand until June 25. Murder, culpable homicide, and kidnapping are among the charges levelled against the two-time Olympic medalist.
