In a decisive crackdown on drug-related criminal activities, the Jalandhar Commissionerate Police, in collaboration with the Municipal Corporation, demolished two illegally constructed structures in the jurisdiction of PS Division No. 1, Jalandhar.

Commissioner of Police, Smt. Dhanpreet Kaur, disclosed that the action followed credible intelligence about the illegal constructions, allegedly owned by notorious drug smugglers—Dalip Singh alias Dalipa (son of Bhajan Singh, resident of H.No. 744, Guru Amardas Nagar, Jalandhar) and Nisha Khan alias Nisha Chaudhary (wife of Pardeep Chaudhary, resident of H.No. 144, Mohalla Ashok Vihar, Jalandhar). and it is reported that the properties were financed through proceeds from their illicit drug trade.

A swift and well-coordinated joint operation by the Police and Municipal Corporation teams led to the demolition of the structures, which were reportedly being used as hideouts and escape routes by drug traffickers.

The Commissioner further revealed that Both are habitual offenders with a long history of involvement in drug trafficking and other criminal activities. She mentioned that accused Dalip Singh has 11 pending cases against him under the NDPS Act, Arms Act, and various sections of the IPC and Nisha Khan faces 6 pending cases under similar charges.

This action is part of a broader campaign that targets not only individuals involved in drug trafficking but also the illegal infrastructure that enables their activities.

The Jalandhar Commissionerate Police reiterated its zero-tolerance policy against drug-related crimes and urged citizens to remain vigilant. Authorities encouraged the public to report suspicious activities, emphasizing that community cooperation is crucial in eradicating the drug menace from the city.
