Directed by Ajitesh Sharma, Honeymoon Se Hatya is a true crime docuseries that will revolve around 5 real chilling murder case that have taken place in India. In all the 5 cases, there is one common factor in them i.e. a wife killing her husband.

The official synopsis of Honeymoon Se Hatya docuseries reads, "A five-part true-crime docudrama uncovers real cases where wives kill their husbands. The series dives deep into how love, control, betrayal and hidden marital fractures can lead to fatal breakdowns."

Know the 5 chilling murder case that will be showcased in Honeymoon Se Hatya

1) Sonam Raja Raghuvanshi Case in Meghalaya

In May 2025, a married couple named Raja Raghuvanshi and Sonam (25) went missing during their honeymoon in Meghalaya. The couple went missing after they checked out of a homestay at Nongriat village in Cherrapunji.

In June, Raja's body was found decomposed in a deep gorge. Initially the case was treated as accident or abduction, but it took a chilling turn when it was revealed that Sonam was arrested on charges of orchestrating her husband's murder.

According to the Meghalaya Police, Sonam allegedly hired contract killers and plotted Raja’s murder during the trip.

Sonam has been accused of conspiring with her former lover Raj and hired contract killers to kill Raja Raghuvanshi.

2) Meerut- Blue Drum Case

Meerut- Blue Drum Case refers to the shocking murder of Merchant Navy office Saurabh Rajput. In March 2025. the Merchant Navy Officer allegedly ate food that was drugged by his wife Muskan Rastogi (28). After Saurabh turned unconscious, reports suggest that Muskan along with her lover Sahil stabbed and slit Saurabh's throat.

Not only this, the couple chopped the body into 15 pieces, attempted to pack it in a suitcase, but instead stuffed it into a blue drum with cement and sand.

3) Delhi Electric Shock Case

Delhi Electric Shock Case refers to the shocking murder of a 36-year-old man. Karan was electrocuted in Delhi's Dwarka, with police suspect that the incident was orchestrated by his wife and her partner.

A PCR call was received on July 13, 2025 from Mata Rooprani Maggo Hospital in Uttam Nagar regarding the death of Karan Dev. According to reports, the man was allegedly killed by his wife and her partner, who is the son of Karan's uncle.

His wife and her partner allegedly drugged Karan by giving him sleeping pills before electrocuting him to death. After the murder, she rushed to her in-laws' house nearby and informed them that Karan had died, prompting them to rush him to the hospital.

4) Bhiwani Influencer Case (Haryana)

It refers to murder of a man named Praveen by his wife, an Instagram influencer Ravina Rao and her lover Suresh. Influencers Ravina and Suresh connected on Instagram. Ravina and her husband Praveen would often argue over her social media addiction and he also suspected her of having an affair with Suresh.

On March 25, Praveen found Ravina and Suresh in an intimate moment and lost his cool. An altercation followed and Ravina used her dupatta to allegedly choke Praveen to death. She waited for the night and then the two put Praveen's body between them and rode a bike to a drain about 6 km away.

Three days later, Praveen's rotting body was recovered from the drain and CCTV footage of the cameras in the area established how Ravina's affair with Suresh led to the grisly murder.

5) Mumbai Tile Case

A man named Vijay in Maharashtra's Palghar district was reportedly murdered by his wife and her lover, who reportedly buried his body inside his house, under the tiles.

Vijay Chouhan was missing for two weeks before his body was found in his own house. The woman, Chaman Devi (28), and her lover, Monu Sharma (20) absconded from the spot at that time.
