Who is Dr. Piyush Bhargav?

Dr. Piyush Bhargav is an Indian AI-Scientist played by actor Arif Zakaria. Dr. Piyush Bhargav is working with DRDO, ISRO and various other Indian agencies on a top secret mission. However, after a guest speech in Budapest, he was abducted by a team of mercenaries.

The abduction was ordered by Veer Awas played by actor Tahir Raj Bhasin.

Notably, the character of Dr. Piyush Bhargav is totally fictional.

Are there any real life Indian AI-Scientist?

There are multiple AI-Scientists who are Indian. One of them are- Dabbala Rajagopal "Raj" Reddy. Reddy is an Indian-American computer scientist and a winner of the Turing Award.

He is one of the early pioneers of artificial intelligence and has served on the faculty of Stanford and Carnegie Mellon for over 50 years. He was the founding director of the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University.
