A shooting incident is being reported in the Jalandhar West constituency. As per reports, a relative of a BJP councilor who resides in Basti Sheikh, Ujala Nagar shot himself with a licensed pistol. As per reports the young man is said to be seriously injured in the incident and is currently admitted to a hospital for treatment. His condition is said to be critical as of now. The injured 21-year-old is said to be the relative of Councilor Manjit Singh Titu.

The councilor talking more about the incident said that his nephew’s son had been distressed due some alleged losses in his business. He further states that this morning he had received a call from his nephew and got the information about the incident. The injured young man has been admitted to a private hospital as of now and is undergoing treatment. The police team also arrived at the scene after learning about the case and a probe has been initiated into the matter. Further details are awaited.
