In a horrifying incident, a child allegedly fell while attempting to de-board a moving train in Ludhiana, resulting in the amputation of the leg.

The child’s family is now pleading for assistance as they grapple with the emotional and financial fallout of the tragedy.

The child, named Abhash, and his parents were attempting to de-board the Intercity Express when a sudden push caused him to slip from the platform. He was dragged under the train’s wheels, suffering grievous injuries.

The child was first taken to CMC hospital in Ludhiana for emergency care. Given the severity of his condition, he was later referred to hospitals in Delhi and then Meerut, where medical specialists determined that amputation of the affected leg was necessary to save his life.

Abhash is a second‑grade student and the only son of his parents, residing in Dugri. His father, Sandeep, said that they were en route to his in‑laws’ home in Muzaffarnagar when the accident occurred. He claimed the push from behind possibly by another passenger led to the tragedy.
