A 60-year-old man was found dead under unclear circumstances in the Kamal Vihar area of Jalandhar district and the deceased has been identified as Joginder Pal.
According to the police the body was found inside the house and initial investigation suggests it could be a natural death as the man was diabetic and had other medical conditions however, the exact cause will only be known after the post-mortem report.
Jalandhar Police said they received information from an unknown caller and reached the spot soon after and the body has been taken into custody and sent to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem, further investigation is ongoing.
As per the police the family members came to know about the incident in the morning after which cries were heard from the house.
A local resident Sahil from Kamal Vihar said that when people from the neighborhood went inside they saw blood in the room and he also claimed that the man had an injury on his head and also mentioned that there were blood stains on the T-shirt of the deceased’s son
Sahil further said that nothing can be clearly said about the cause of death at this stage and only the police investigation will reveal the truth.
Police officials have not confirmed any foul play yet and said all angles are being looked into and the final cause of death will be confirmed after the post-mortem report comes.
