In a major development, Aam Aadmi Party's MLA Rape Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra has been declared a proclaimed offender. Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra is currently on the run after being accused in a rape case. He is MLA from Punjab's Sanour constituency.
The court has also directed police to submit a list of the Pathanmajra’s properties in court. He has also been declared absconding. The next hearing in the case will be held on January 31. He has been on the run since September due to rape allegations.
The Patiala police had registered a case against him on September 1 on charges of rape, cheating and criminal intimidation. The case was registered based on a complaint by a Zirakpur-based woman.
It is claimed that the MLA is fled to Australia.
