An uncanny resolution has been passed in Ajnala’s Dhariwal Kaler village where the Panchayat has unanimously taken the decision barring boys and girls of the same village from marrying each other. Talking about the consequences they warn that if a couple gets married from the same village then the entire village will socially boycott them and they would no longer be welcomed there.
Talking more about this, the village sarpanch and other dignitaries said that they have taken this decision after many such cases have been observed where youth is getting married in the same village itself. They claim that this is a wrong path and to prevent something like this from happening further in the future, this step has been taken. The village sarpanch and other dignitaries have made it clear that any such step would be followed by a social boycott and the ones to do so would have no place in the village.
