

The police carried out a major encounter in the case linked to firing at a tire shop named ‘Creative Wheels’ in Amritsar last April. The main accused of the case, Gurpreet Singh alias Lal, was seriously injured during the gunfight. The accused has been taken to a local hospital in Amritsar.
According to the police, Gurpreet Singh Lal was taken near Sun City, Batala road for recovery of weapons. During this the accused took advantage of the situation and opened fire on the police team with a concealed weapon. Taking retaliatory action, the police shot the accused. The weapon has also been recovered from the spot.
Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar informs the media that the two shooters of gangster Prabh Dasuwal (Gurpreet Singh Lal, 23 and Joban, 18) have been held and arrested in the case. His third compliance Bohar Singh is already in jail, who would soon be questioned.
As per the investigation so far, it was revealed that a ransom threat was made before firing at the shop ‘Creative Wheels’. The shooters used to get a sum of Rs 10,000 in return of each task. The weapons were arranged by Prabh Dasuwal, that were sent through Pakistani drones. The police has also confirmed that the similar firing cases of nearby areas are also linked to this gang. Police assures strict action in the case as the probe continues.
