A shocking incident has come to light from Tanel village in the Jandiala area of Amritsar where a young man allegedly killed his own mother and the case has left the entire village in fear and grief.
According to information the woman’s husband who was in the army had died about five years ago and after his death the family received compensation money and it is being said that there was an ongoing dispute in the house over this money.
Family members have alleged that the boy identified as Karamveer was being influenced and provoked by his aunt against his mother and they also claim that this led to increasing tension within the family.
As per the family the woman had returned home on Monday and the next day around 3 pm Karamveer allegedly strangled his mother and then attacked her on the head leading to her death on the spot.
The family has blamed greed for money as the main reason behind the crime and have even demanded strict punishment for those responsible and said that the guilty should not be spared under any circumstances meanwhile when media persons tried to contact police officials they avoided giving clear answers and the police have said that only senior officers will share detailed information about the case.
The body has been sent for postmortem and police have started an investigation while the family is now waiting for justice and hoping that the truth will come out soon.
