A threat email has surfaced in Jalandhar ahead of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s rally at Paragpur on Wednesday, September 30. The email mentions the rally, Jalandhar schools, Shri Devi Talab Mandir, the court complex and an office, with specific timings attached to some of the claims.
The email was sent at around 7:07 am on Wednesday and was addressed to multiple recipients, including MGN Urban Estate 2, Jalandhar; Cambridge Innovative School, Jalandhar; and CIS Girls Moga.
Jalandhar schools mentioned at 11:11 am
The email contains the line “Jalandhar School @ 11:11 am” and urges parents to protect their children and avoid going to the rally.
Devi Talab Mandir mentioned at 12:11 pm
The email then refers to Shri Devi Talab Mandir, mentioning 12:11 pm and making claims about an alleged explosive threat.
The temple is part of Amit Shah’s schedule. According to The Tribune, Shah is expected to reach the LR Doaba School grounds at around 12:25 pm, where a helipad has been prepared, before proceeding to the temple. Security teams, including the SPG and Punjab Police, have already carried out checks at the site.

The email also contains claims about explosives being placed at the rally stage and references of buses carrying people to the event.
Amit Shah rally under security watch
Amit Shah is scheduled to address the concluding rally of the BJP’s Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra at a venue near Lilly Resorts on the Jalandhar-Phagwara highway in Paragpur. Around 2,000 buses are expected to bring party workers and supporters to the rally.
The threat email comes amid already heightened security arrangements in Jalandhar ahead of the Home Minister’s visit. Security agencies had also been put on alert after controversial slogans appeared on the walls of the Red Cross Bhawan on Tuesday.
