A shocking incident occurred on Tuesday night in Urban Estate Phase-2, Jalandhar, when gunshots were fired outside the More Supermarket. The victim has been identified as Dr. Rahul Sood of Kidney Hospital.
Reports confirm that Dr. Sood was shot in the leg and immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment. Senior police officials, including DCP Manpreet Singh Dhillon, quickly reached the scene and initiated an investigation.
According to initial details, Dr. Sood had gone shopping for household items at the supermarket. As he was returning, unidentified assailants opened fire on him. The reason behind the attack is still unknown.
CCTV footage shows the attackers first engaging in a scuffle with the doctor before shooting him and fleeing the spot.
