FIR filed against Brune & Bareskin owners and 2 others, days after clash in restaurant with Eastwood owner's son, nephew

Days after clash between youths of two influential families of Jalandhar in a restaurant, a major update has come in. Manas Malhotra, son of Tarun Malhotra has filed an FIR against Brune & Bareskin owners Tabby Bhatia, Sabby Bhatia and 2 other individuals.

Manas Malhotra is the nephew of Eastwood Village owner Triveni Malhotra. The other two against who he has filed a complaint are Bunty Chawla, and an unknown person.

The FIR has been filed at Jt Jalandhar Division 4 Police Station under BNS sections- 115(2), 117(2), 109 (Attempt to Murder), 126(2) (Wrongful Restraint), 351(2) ( Criminal Intimidation), and 3(5).

What did the complainant Manas Malhotra say in his FIR?

Manas Malhotra's FIR alleged, "On August 3, 2025, at about 1:30AM, complainant Manas Malhotra went to a restaurant in Jalandhar with his cousin Divyang Malhotra (Eastwood Owner Triveni Malhotra's son) to attend a DJ party. At about 2:15-2:30AM, after the party ended, Manas and Divyang were leaving for home."

As per the FIR, "Tabby Bhatia, who was talking to someone else, began to abuse Manas. When Manas tried to stop him, Tabby started pushing him. Bunty Chawla, a friend of Tabby, put a hand on Manas's face and pushed him against the wall."

"Sabby Bhatia, Tabby's brother, along with another unknown friend, pushed Manas to the ground. All accused, jointly, beat up Manas, kicked him and gave injuries," the complaint further reads.

"When Divyang Malhotra tried to rescue Manas, Sabby Bhatia attacked Divyang on his head with a glass. The attack landed on Divyang's nose instead. According to Manas, if Divyang hadn't moved back, the attack could have hit his skull, risking his life."

Th complaint fuerther accuses, "Tabby further abused and hit Manas with a glass bottle."

"When Manas and Divyang tried to run away, the accused stopped them again, beat them, threatened them, and then fled the scene. Following the assault, both Manas and Divyang got admitted to Global Hospital for treatment and obtained their Medico-Legal Reports (MLRs)."

Why there was a delay in filing the FIR?

Manas in his complaint said that he did not file the FIR instantly 'due to injuries sustained and a death in the family (Manas's uncle). He was unable to give a statement immediately'.
