

A Dispute in Radha Parlour Chowk area under the jurisdiction of the Bhargav Camp police station took place on 25th June, Thursday. What initially began as an argument over the processing of online forms of RS. 1000 scheme of the government soon escalated into a major clash. The members of two groups allegedly pelted bricks and stones at each other, creating panic among local residents.
According to local residents, the confrontation erupted when people were gathered to fill out forms for the government scheme. The situation reportedly worsened within minutes, forcing bystanders to move away from the area as the two groups engaged in violent stone-pelting. The disturbance caused chaos in the locality
A woman identified as Preeti, alleged that the Sakhis (women appointed to assist beneficiaries with online applications) were not processing any of her family's application forms. She claimed that while her husband had gone to buy something for their children, members of the other group allegedly placed their own child ahead in the queue. This reportedly led to a heated argument, which soon converted into violence.
Preeti further alleged that during the altercation, her daughter was assaulted. She claimed that a young man, accompanied by 5-6 others, attacked members of her family especially her daughter who was hit by a brick. According to her, another relative informed them that children present at the scene were crying following the violence. When the family reached the spot, they found a large crowd gathered. Following the incident, the family approached the Bhargav Camp police station and submitted a formal complaint, seeking action against those allegedly involved.
Vicky Bhagat, another compliant, presented a different version of events. He alleged that tensions between the two sides had been simmering for the past five to six days and that the clash was the result of an ongoing personal rivalry. According to Vicky, one of the Sakhis responsible for assisting people with the scheme was not carrying out her duties properly. He claimed that when he requested her to help other applicants, a woman objected, leading to an argument. Vicky also alleged that the woman's son was involved in drug-related activities and claimed that, due to previous animosity, she and her associates attacked him. He demanded that the licence of the Sakhi concerned be cancelled and urged the authorities to ensure justice for his family.
Talking to other members of the family, it was found that the mother of the accused was involved in the case and motivated his son. She allegedly also supports her son in smuggling drugs and supports him in these illegal activities.Police have received complaints from the parties involved and are expected to investigate the matter. An official statement regarding the incident and the allegations has not yet been issued.
