Firing at Sarpanch’s Shop in Phagwara, Attackers Flee: Incident Captured on CCTV

Two masked men opened fire at the shop of Bohani village Sarpanch late at night. Six rounds were fired, four hit the shutter while two misfired.

In a latest incident, which took place in Bohani village, Phagwara, two unidentified assailants opened fire at the shop of the current Sarpanch on Wednesday, 15th October night. The attackers fired six rounds, out of which four bullets pierced the shop’s shutter, while two misfired.

Amid the festive season approaching, this firing incident that took place created a terrific haul among people.According to Bhupinder Singh, the Sarpanch of Bohani village, when he arrived in the morning to open his shop, he noticed four bullet holes in the shutter.

On checking the CCTV footage, he saw two masked men arriving on a motorcycle and firing at the shop.

Sarpanch Bhupinder Singh immediately informed the Rawalpindi Police about the incident. ASI Sukhdev Singh from Rawalpindi Police Station, Phagwara, said that they received information from the Sarpanch and reached the spot, where they recovered four live rounds and two misfired bullets.

According to ASI Sukhdev Singh, the firing took place at 1:06 a.m. The attackers’ identities are still unknown, and the reason behind the shooting has not yet been determined. The Sarpanch stated that he has no enmity or dispute with anyone.

Police are currently investigating the case
