An incident of firing between two groups has been reported in Boota Mandi, Jalandhar. As per the initial reports, the incident stems from an alleged old rivalry among two groups. Sources reveal that brother of a man named Salim has been injured in this exchange of fire. The injured person has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

Talking about the incident the victim says that his uncle’s son had a fight. Explaining further he says that they were all together when a fight broke out between them. The dispute had allegedly resolved and an agreement had been reached however, after the incident Nahar, Sahil, along with four others arrived there and opened fire. One person got injured in this shooting incident. A woman claims that her son had earlier also been assaulted during summers. She says that following that the other group had apologized and the matter was settled, however today again they surrounded her son and started beating him again. Later, he came home and was telling his brother about the whole incident when the attackers fired at him and fled. The victim has claimed that the shots were fired from a country-made pistol.

Upon receiving the information about the incident, the police arrived at the scene and began an investigation into the matter. As of now the police has said that the investigation is in preliminary state and assured that the culprits would be apprehended soon and strict action would be taken into the case after a through probe and questioning from both sides is conducted.
