
A YouTuber and travel vlogger named Amrik Singh who runs a YouTube channel named 'Walk with Turna' has come under a legal scanner. Amrik Singh who runs his YouTube channel along with his wife Manpreet was recently called by Jalandhar Police for questioning.
As per reports, Amrik was detained by the police and intelligence agencies for over 24 hours, during which he was questioned about his YouTube channel 'Walk with Turna' and his visit to Pakistan in December 2024 during which they filmed videos covering Sikh religious sites and other soft stories.
Hailing from Turna village from Lohian, Amrik was called to Lohian police station at 5:30 pm, he returned home late yesterday evening. Amrik Singh and his wife Manpreet Kaur are making videos of various places that they had toured since 2022. As per reports, Amrik and Manpreet passouts of journalism from Doaba College.
YouTube channel Walk With Turna has 136K subscribers.
Manpreet was quoted saying that after her husband reached Lohian Police Station, his phone was switched off. Late at that night, a few other police officials reached to the YouTuber's house and asked for their laptop. After she informed that they use their mobile phone to make and upload content on social media, the Police officials took their phones.
When the family approached the Police the next morning, they were informed that Amrik has been taken to an undisclosed location.
Later in the evening, Manpreet then revealed that Amrik has been freed by the Police and was brought back from Jalandhar City.
