Lately, the Radha Soami Satsang Beas chief Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon has been making headlines. This comes after his visit to the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader and former Punjab minister Bikram Singh Majithia at the Nabha jail where he had been lodged for the past 7 months. The spiritual leader visited the SAD leader for the second time in jail on February 2, 2026. As per reports, the meeting between them lasted over 30 minutes and was held under tight security, a large number of devotees had also gathered outside the facility. After meeting with Majithia, Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon made a public statement saying that all the charges against the Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia are ‘false’ and ‘baseless’.
While interacting with the media he says that, “All the allegations against Bikram Majithia are false”, he adds, “He (Majithia) is my friend and I will meet him. He is in high spirits”. Afterwards when reports questioned him about the nature of his visit he responds with, “If someone is your relative, won’t you meet him?” It is noteworthy that Dhillon met Majitha just hours before the Supreme Court granted him bail in the disproportionate assets case. This was his second jail meeting with Majithia, as he had earlier visited him on September 24, 2025.
Later, Bikram Singh Majithia was released from Nabha Jail in Patiala on Tuesday, February 3, a day after the Supreme Court granted him bail. It is noteworthy that the Radha Soami Satsang Beas Dera has not affiliated with any political party before and has not been involved any such political matters. Dera Beas chief Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon has also chosen his successor in 2024. Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon has made Jasdeep Singh Gill his successor.
