In an attempt to control the overprices of liquor served at marriage palaces in Punjab, the state government has fixed liquor prices. Now, liquor sellers will not be able to go to marriage halls and charge according to themselves. The price of each brand of liquor will be fixed and sold at that rate.
Under Punjab's new Excise Policy 2025-26, a special committee has determined the rates for liquor in marriage halls. Under the new policy, the rates per case (box) have been standardized.
Rs 3,900 per case: ACP, Party Special, Grand Affair, King Gold, Master Moment, Officers Choice, Pan Banarsi, Blue Diamond, Old Monk Rum, Solan No.1
Rs 5,000 per case: Discovery Me Dowell's No.1, OC Blue, Imperial Blue, Solan Black
Rs 6,600 per case: Red Knight, 8 PM Black, MM Vodka Royal Challenge, Royal Stag, Sterling B-7, All Seasons, Imperial Black.
Rs 7,800 per case: Royal Stag, Barrel Select, MM Flavour
