Vaibhav Sehgal, PPS, ADCP HQs, Ludhiana Commissionerate has shared an important update with the public. The officer has shared crucial detail regarding a resident of Ludhiana, named Deep Mangli, who has created a facebook account, where he spreads false and misleading information.
The officer shares that the information was provided to the Cyber Cell Ludhiana by the Mohali Cyber Cell. It was revealed during the probe that the person has been actively spreading misleading and untrue narratives and highly motivated to spread propaganda against the state. The officer further shares that they are currently hunting down the people who have been involved in sharing it further. In the meantime, as the probe progresses the officer has appealed to the general public to be cautious and verify any information they see online before forwarding it.
Currently the administration is highly prioritizing to stop the spread of misinformation.
