Jalandhar Central Halka Incharge Nitin Kohli inaugurated the construction work of new roads at Police Line, with the project estimated to cost around Rs 95 lakh.

Speaking on the occasion, Kohli said the development work is aimed at improving road connectivity and strengthening basic infrastructure for residents of the constituency

He said providing better roads and essential civic facilities remains a key priority.

Kohli said the road construction would improve movement in the area and provide residents with better infrastructure. He added that development works would continue to be undertaken across Jalandhar Central based on local requirements.

Jalandhar Police Commissioner Satinder Singh, IPS, thanked Nitin Kohli and others for their contribution. He said it was encouraging to see work being carried out to improve the condition of roads and overall infrastructure in the area. He appreciated the efforts of Nitin Kohli, the Deputy Mayor and others involved in the initiative, adding that the development of children's playgrounds, a badminton court and a walking track would further improve facilities for residents of Police Line.

Senior Deputy Mayor Balbir Singh, Jalandhar Police Commissioner Satinder Singh, DCP Parminder Singh Heer, SP Sukhwinder Singh, Jaswinder Singh and residents of Police Line were present during the inauguration.

Kohli said efforts would continue to ensure that development works are completed in a timely manner and that residents get improved civic infrastructure.
