Former Jalandhar West MLA and BJP leader Sheetal Angural's nephew was stabbed to death on Friday night. Vikas was only 16-17-years-old when he was murdered in Shivaji Nagar of Basti Danishmandan area, Jalandhar. Sheetal Angural has alleged that Vikas was murdered by a youth named Kaalu who was with two other persons at that time. Currently, the police are searching for Kaalu and other accused.
In the meantime, a heartbreaking video of VIkas's mother has come to the fore. Vikas' mother was seen crying inconsolably. While crying she was heard saying, "Mera puttar paani layi taras reha si. Wo chikh riha si mainu bacha lo. Uske chhati mein chakku mar diya (my son was pleading for water. He was screaming top save him but he was stabbed in chest)."
As per reports, after being stabbed, Vikas reportedly ran to a nearby lane and asked a woman for water. However, when the woman came with water, Vikas had collapsed on the street.
He was then immediately rushed to a private hospital near Kapurthala Chowk where he was declared dead around 11:30 pm.
Sheetal Angural alleged that that his nephew was killed by Kaalu who was 'overdosed' at that time. Kaalu and two others who were with him were intoxicated as well. The BJP leader also revealed that his nephew was screaming for help but no-one came to rescue him.
Angural said, "A boy named Kalu went to a rally with a few others. The rally concluded around 5:30 to 6:30 pm. After that, he drank alcohol with his associates, overdosed on drugs, lost control and they went on to murder Vikas."
Angural further alleged that Kalu had earlier also attacked the police in Basti Bawa Khel. The BJP leader said that he has given the police a free hand so that he can know what the motive behind his nephew's murder.
"He was screaming for help, shouting ‘save me, save me’, but no one came to his rescue," said Sheetal Angural.
