Days after being promoted to DGP ranks, the Punjab Government on Wednesday transferred and posted eight senior IPS officers, promoting them to key positions across various departments.
The official notification was issued by the Department of Home Affairs with the approval of the Governor of Punjab, is effective immediately.
As per official notification, IPS officer Praveen Kumar Sinha has been appointed as Special DGP, Intelligence, Punjab, SAS Nagar, and additionally as Special DGP-cum-Chief Director, Vigilance Bureau, Punjab, SAS Nagar.
IPS officer Anita Punj who is also the wife of IPS officer Praveen Kumar Sinha has been appointed as Special DGP-cum-Director, MRS PPA, Phillaur and also Special DGP, SCRB, Punjab, Chandigarh.
IPS officer Amardeep Singh Rai has been appointed as Special DGP, Traffic & Road Safety, Punjab, Chandigarh.
