Punjab Government has announced summer holidays in all schools across state due to rising heat during the summer season and according to an official order issued by School Education Department on May 30 all Government, Aided and Private schools in Punjab will remain closed from June 1, 2026 to June 30, 2026.
The decision has been taken keeping in mind the increasing temperatures and hot weather conditions being experienced across Punjab and the month-long break is expected to provide relief to students, teachers and school staff during the peak summer season.
The order was issued by Sonali Giri, Secretary Government of Punjab, School Education Department.
With this announcement schools across Punjab will remain shut throughout June and are expected to reopen after summer vacation ends subject to any further instructions from the state government and parents and students are advised to stay updated through their respective schools and official government notifications regarding reopening schedules and any future changes.
