What were strict rules for participants?

Participants taking part in the 'Great Sitting Challenge' will have to follow the rules. The 11 rules included a ban on eating, using the washroom, fighting, or speaking loudly. Anyone breaking the rules would be disqualified. Once eliminated, participants could not re-enter.

However, participants were allowed to read books or engage in religious chanting (simran).
