The 15-day ScoopLabs Summer Camp 2026 came to a successful and memorable end with an exciting final-day visit to the True Scoop office and podcast studio.
Throughout the camp, the young participants explored a wide range of important real-world topics designed to build awareness, confidence, and practical life skills. They learned to read food labels before eating, think like entrepreneurs, use AI wisely, choose kindness, understand democracy, save and invest early, fact-check information before trusting it, and understand the business side of sports. The children also learned how to check GST on bills, care for the environment, track AQI and weather, understand how a newsroom works, appreciate India's heritage treasures, and develop a habit of staying curious and learning continuously.
On the final day, the participants got a behind-the-scenes look at how a modern newsroom operates. They met different team members and learned about the various roles involved in news production.
Kalpana from the editorial team explained the newsroom workflow and shared how news stories are written after proper fact-checking and research. Professional cameraperson Karam conducted a camera-handling session and gave the children hands-on experience with professional equipment. Khushboo led the anchoring session and introduced the participants to the skills and confidence needed to present news on screen.
One of the highlights of the day was an interactive podcast activity. The children worked in pairs and took turns as hosts and guests. Their creativity, confidence, and communication skills impressed everyone present.
Internship opportunities were also announced for some participants in recognition of their exceptional performance during the camp. However, every child performed wonderfully and contributed to the success of the camp.
To celebrate the completion of this journey, each participant received a ScoopWrap along with a personalized note from the ScoopLabs team as a token of appreciation.
