The drug menace of Punjab continues to entangle youth in its grip and grow its tentacles across state. A similar such incident is emerging from Amritsar. The incident is of Lawrence Road where allegedly, four girls aged between 15 to 17 years were seen consuming drugs.
The commotion started when father of one of the girls saw them doing drugs. Tension escalated and an uproar was seen at the spot. Gradually, the situation became tense and drew public attention. The passers-by also expressed their concerns over the incident and raised serious questions about the increasing drug menace in the area.
The situation has once again highlighted the gravity of drug issue in the state, calls for a strict and swift action.
