Henley Passport Index 2025 Report was recently launched and it ranked 99 countries of the world based on the travel freedom their citizens enjoy. Multiple countries at the Henley Passport Index 2025 improved their rankings as they added even more countries where they can travel visa-free just on their passport.
However, countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh remained at the bottom 10 list. It means, Pakistan and Bangladesh's passport holders do not enjoy travel freedom.
As per Henley Passport Index 2025, Pakistan ranked 96 out of 99 countries, on the other hand, Bangladesh ranked 94. Taliban-ruled Afghanistan is at the bottom of the list which is at 99. Notably, Afghanistan has remained under the scanner over women rights issues. Also, many countries have not recognised Taliban as democratically elected government.
On the other hand, Pakistan is accused of being a safe heaven for terrorists. Also, the country is undergoing economic turmoil. It has gone to IMF for bailouts many times, but the country is on a borrowing spree.
Talking about Bangladesh, the country is currently ruled by unelected Muhammad Yunus. Muhammad Yunus is the Chief Advisor of Bangladesh. With a tiff with India, Bangladesh is also facing economic turmoil.
